Ace detectives needed: Scavenger Hunt Fundraiser for Olds Historical Society on August 22

Scavengers will be searching for clues in Uptowne Olds later this month.

Chantal Marchildon, Manager and Programmer Coordinator for the Mountain View Museum and Archives, points out that the third edition of their Bike or Walk for History event is set to start at 11am on August 22nd. Marchildon says “once you think you figured it out, you go to the destination and sign your name on the log – if you are right. If you are wrong, they’ll say nope it is not us and you’ll have to go try again. Once you’ve found all eight destinations, you can come back to the museum, drop off your sheet and you’re in line for some really great prizes.”

She says participants will have until 3pm on August 22nd to find all 8 historic Uptowne Olds destinations. All of the participating businesses are in Uptowne Olds.

The scavenger hunt fundraiser is open to families and people of all ages, and all funds raised will to to the Olds Historical Society. It is $10 per person or $20 per family.
