Mountain View Mavericks Sit Second In Central Division At Midway Point Of 2024 RMLL Season

Listen to this week’s Mountain View Mavericks Report with Noah Perez.

As the Rocky Mountain Lacrosse League season hits the midway mark, the Mountain View Mavericks currently reside in second place in their division.

Mountain View has a record of 5-4-1 to sit 9 points back of the first place Rockyview Silvertips (10-1-0-0) and one point clear of the third place Red Deer Rampage (5-4-0-0).

The Mavericks lost ground to both of those Central Division rivals last weekend.

On Friday (May 31st), the Rampage defeated the Mavs 11-2 at the Dawe Community Centre in Red Deer.

On Saturday (June 1st), Mountain View’s 4-2 lead slipped away in the third period at the Plainsmen Arena in Airdrie as the Rockyview Silvertips rallied for a 6-5 victory.

Third periods haunted the Mavs in both games as they were outscored by a combined total of 9-1 (5-0 vs Red Deer, 4-1 vs Rockyview).

The 20 game schedule of Tier 1 Junior B competition for Mountain View has 10 games remaining in it.

The lone match up for the Mavs this weekend will be a home game and it is a rematch with the Silvertips. Head to the Innisfail Arena Blue on Sunday, June 9th at 2pm to cheer on Mountain View and see more hard hitting, fast paced RMLL excitement.
