Man from Linden faces impaired driving charges following head-on collision near Three Hills

A head-on collision in November of last year has resulted in charges being laid against a 31-year-old man.

Mounties say the driver’s blood alcohol concentration was determined to be more than four times over the legal limit.

The incident happened on November 25th, 2025 near Three Hills on Highway 21 and police investigation found a truck crossed the centre line into oncoming traffic. According to Three Hills RCMP, it then collided with another truck which was pulling a horse trailer. The driver of the truck pulling the trailer suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

A man from Linden was arrested and faces charges including operating a vehicle while impaired by alcohol causing bodily harm, transporting liquor in an open container, and driving while suspended or disqualified under an immediate roadside sanction. He was released from custody and has a court date set for January 23rd in Drumheller.
