Red Deer RCMP and Community Peace Officers checked 50 drivers and removed three for impaired driving on December 19th.
They were set up along 19th Street and 47th Street. Police say violation tickets were issued as well to drivers who were on the road without registration or insurance.
Mounties in Red Deer are also passing along reminders for motorists to check their vehicle documentation for their driver’s licence, registration, and insurance. RCMP note that driving without the required credentials puts everyone at risk and is a preventable traffic violation.
Anyone who suspects or witnesses an impaired driver is encouraged to call 911 immediately/when it is safe to do so.
