If it feels like it has been a while since it rained in Mountain View County, that is probably because there has not been much significant precipitation between mid-August and now.
As a result, Mountain View County is announcing that the current fire restriction has been upgraded to a fire ban. The fire restriction had been put in place on August 27th but ongoing hot and dry conditions have warranted an upgrade effective immediately.
Until further notice, the fire ban throughout the County means no fire permits shall be issued, no fireworks permits shall be issued, and all existing fire permits are suspended.
More details about the fire ban bylaw are available online at mountainviewcounty.com.
