A structure fire occurred on Wednesday, September 24th in Torrington and Olds RCMP say it is not believed to be suspicious in nature but the investigation continues.
Olds RCMP were called just before 7:30am. It happened at a house on 1st Avenue in Torrington. According to police, when they arrived it was “engulfed in flames.”
A 57-year-old man and a 38-year-old woman have died as a result of the blaze. They were located inside the house, once it was safe for emergency personnel to enter it. Autopsies are set for today (Thursday, September 25th) at the Chief Medical Examiner’s office in Calgary.
Mounties are expressing their condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.
