Colts start HJHL preseason with split of weekend series versus Cochrane

The Heritage Junior Hockey League’s exhibition campaign is underway for the Mountain View Colts.

Second period goals by Blake Stoddard (2006) from Penhold, Sawyer Campbell (2007) from Didsbury, and Ryder Hammer (2006) from Olds helped the Colts turn a 2-1 deficit into a 4-2 victory over the Cochrane Generals on Friday in Didsbury.

The Generals would win the rematch in Cochrane on Saturday by the score of 5-3 over Mountain View.

Exhibition action for the Colts resumes this weekend with a road game against the Flyers in High River on Friday, September 12th. High River will then travel to Didsbury on Saturday, September 13th to finish up the Colts four game slate of preseason action.

The 2025-2026 HJHL regular season begins for Mountain View in Airdrie on Friday, September 19th. The Colts home opener is set for Saturday, September 20th versus Ponoka.
