Jack Stott wins APCCA chuckwagon races in Sundre

Another edition of Bulls and Wagons has wrapped up in Sundre.

Spectators were treated to some great action over the three days including competitors from the Alberta Chuckwagon and Chariot Association racing around the track.

When the dust settled, Jack Stott from Lacombe took home the victory in the wagons with a total running time of 187.15. Gary Salmond from Edson had the fastest time on Sunday with a 61.76 but he ended up just behind Stott in the aggregate. Salmond’s total time was 188.28.

Also at the 12th event of the season for the APCCA, the winner in the chariots was Darren Twerdochlib’s (TWER-duh-klib’s) outfit from Viking – driven by Dave Dubuc (duh-BEWK) from Fort Saskatchewan. He posted the fastest time for all three days and laid down the quickest of the weekend with a 58.15 yesterday to finish with a total running time of 179.13.

The final action of the 2025 season for the APCCA is set for this Friday through Sunday at the 46th annual Patricia Rodeo in Patricia, Alberta.
