A mobile mammography clinic will be in Sundre later this August, offering breast cancer screening for eligible individuals aged 45 to 74.
Alberta Health Services says the Screen Test trailer will be set up at the Sundre Aquaplex. The clinic will run August 22nd to 23rd, and again from August 25th through the 30th.
The service is free for those who qualify, but appointments are required. You can call 1‑800‑667‑0604 to book your spot or find out more.
A screening mammogram is an X-ray of the breast and remains the best way to detect breast cancer early. Health officials say early detection can make treatment more effective and save lives.
Screen Test helps improve access to screening in communities where regular mammograms may not be available. A full schedule of clinic stops and more information is available online at screeningforlife.ca.
