Act of kindness from influencer leads to “best day of my life” for Edmonton Oilers fans

Two huge fans of the Edmonton Oilers received the surprise of a lifetime last Friday (June 7th).

An influencer known as MDMotivator gave Davin and Eric Stitzenberger tickets to Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Final plus they got some cash, a bunch of Oilers merchandise, and to watch it with Wayne and Ty Gretzky.

Davin and Eric’s brother Garrett works for Vista Radio in Kelowna, B.C. He highlights the fact that it was crazy and his brothers had no idea it was coming. Stitzenberger adds, his brother’s are both disabled and it this act of kindness couldn’t have to a couple of better guys. He says “my auntie actually had reached out to the influencer there, Zach Dereniowski. So my auntie got it all that he was coming to Canada. He said he was looking for some people to do something nice for. My auntie wrote them a thing on my brothers. He ended up reaching out to her the next evening. Worked out all the details, surprised these guys at a dollar store in Edmonton. My brothers had no idea it was coming, obviously, I think from the video you could tell.”

If you haven’t seen the video of Davin and Eric getting the tickets and going to Game 2, check it out on the 96.5 The Ranch or the 104.5 The GOAT Facebook pages. Garrett says “battling through life from time to time and then get to have an experience like this. They are over the moon, here. Global news is interviewing them. Yeah, it has just been a whirlwind. My uncle and my dad were there, like they drove them into Edmonton, and they said the influencer was just an absolute gem.”

Game 4 of the best-of-seven Stanley Cup Final is tonight (June 12th) in Florida. The Panthers are up 2-1 in the series on the Oilers.

Sheldon from 104.5 The GOAT had this conversation with Davin and Eric Stitzenberger.

Sheldon also spoke with Garrett Stitzenberger.
