Eagles eliminate Barons, move on to semifinals against Wetaskiwin

The Innisfail Eagles have advanced to the North Central Senior Men’s AA Hockey League semifinals.

The Birds advanced by beating the Devon Barons 4-3 at the Innisfail Twin Arenas on Sunday in the fifth and deciding game of their opening round playoff series.

Third place Innisfail (11-4-0-1) will now take on the second place Wetaskiwin Longhorns (13-3-0-0) in a best of five semifinal series.

It starts on Saturday, February 22nd in Wetaskiwin, and then Game 1 will be played at 5pm in Innisfail on Sunday.

The Lacombe Generals (14-2-0-0) and the Stony Plain Eagles (11-5-0-0) will square off in the other North Central League’s other semifinal.
