Rocky Mountain House Chamber promoting second annual Mountain View & Neighbours Women In Business Awards

The annual Mountain View & Neighbours Women in Business Awards event is a joint venture for the counties of Mountain View, Clearwater, and Kneehill along with the towns and villages within.

International Women’s Day will be celebrated when it is held at the Pomeroy Inn & Suites Olds in March. The event’s second annual edition is set for March 7th and it will include six categories for the awards. IWD is March 8th.

Michelle Meatheringham, Executive Director with the Rocky Mountain House Chamber of Commerce says “you know it is important to recognize the people in our community that  are doing business and creating the atmosphere that we’re in – the environment and such. When it comes to women or female owned businesses or leadership positions, women are innovative and they think differently when they are doing business. So it is important to take a moment and celebrate them.”

The six award categories include Woman of Influence, Woman in Agriculture/Agribusiness or Agrifood, Woman in Hospitality and or Tourism, Woman in Business Newcomer, Woman in Energy, and Woman in Business For Profit, as well as Woman in Business Not-For-Profit.

You can nominate a deserving candidate now for a Mountain View & Neighbours Women In Business Award. Get your nominations in before February 21st. Learn more or get tickets to next month’s awards luncheon by visiting the Mountain View and Neighbours Women In Business Facebook page.
