Nominations open until September 14th for Olds Chamber’s Small Business Awards

The time has come for the Olds & District Chamber of Commerce to once again honour the local business community.

The annual Awards Gala is slated for October 22nd at the Olds Royal Canadian Legion and the Chamber will launch Small Business Week with a breakfast at 7:30am on October 15th at the Pomeroy Inn & Suites.

Murray Elliott, Chair of the Small Business Award Committee, notes they will be collecting nominations for the seven different categories until September 14th on the Chamber’s website. Elliott says “that is all online in a flllable PDF. It’s quick and painless, it doesn’t take long. So if you would like to recognize a business or a person or a community venture – please do and get it in sooner than later.” Click here for the link.

The nominees for the awards will be announced during the Olds Chamber’s Business, Beer and Blue Jeans event on September 23rd at Olds College’s Werklund Ag and Technology Centre. The categories include Business of the Year, Community Spirit, Innovation, New Business, People’s Choice, President’s Award, and Youth Employee of the Year.
