OC WHKY Broncos battling for playoff spot as season heads down the stretch

With 10 games remaining in the ACAC regular season, Olds College’s women’s hockey team is in the midst of a quest to make the playoffs.

The Broncos currently occupy the conference’s fourth and final playoff spot but they are just one point ahead of the fifth place SAIT Trojans.

OC’s women defeated the Trojans 2-1 in extra time last Saturday in Cochrane before suffering a 3-2 loss to SAIT in Calgary on Sunday.

Olds College carries a record of 4-11-1 into this evening’s (January 23rd) clash with the NAIT Ooks. Puck drop at the SportsComplex is set for 7pm.

The Ooks are second in the ACAC with a record of 13-4 to sit 6 points back of the first place Lakeland Rustlers.

NAIT will host Olds College on Saturday in Edmonton to conclude this week’s two game series.
