2025 Grande Prairie Stompede champ to be crowned tonight on 96.5 The Ranch

The opening event of the 2025 WPCA Pro Tour wraps up tonight (June 1st) with the championship heat.

Listen live this evening at 6:45 on 96.5 The Ranch as the top four in the aggregate standings for this week in Grande Prairie will line up and make their push to the finish line in the $80,000 championship final heat. Earning a spot in the final thanks to the performances of their horsepower this week are High River’s Jason Glass and Birchcliff Energy Ltd. (5:07.21), Preston Faithful from Frog Lake First Nation, Alberta and Sundown Oilfield Services Ltd.   (5:08.51), Obrey Motowylo from Hoadley, Alberta and Dynamic Energy Group Ltd. (5:08.65), and Logan Gorst from Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan and Northstar Hydrovac Inc. (5:09.42).  

On Night 4 (May 31st) of the event the top four times belonged to Chad Fike and Tomco Group of Companies (1:17.30), Obrey Motowylo (1:17.61), Logan Gorst (1:17.79), and Jamie Laboucane from St. Walberg, Saskatchewan and Wild Rows Pump and Compression Ltd. (1:17.82).

Last year’s winner at the Grande Prairie Stompede was Jamie Laboucane who had both the top four night aggregate time of 5:14.64 and the top time in the championship heat on Night 5 of 1:16.08.
