Wheels on the tour bus go round and round during Alberta Open Farm Days at Olds College

The Olds College Smart Farm is one of the local participants ready to go for Alberta Open Farm Days.

Scott Meeberg, OC’s Communications Lead for Research, highlights the fact that people can come to the Werklund Agricultural Technology Building to visit it and then take a bus ride around the campus. Meeberg says “really if you are just someone who lives in Olds and hasn’t been to the College campus – or hasn’t been there in a while – and you are interested in getting a tour from our staff and learning about the research that we are doing and why we have all sorts of fancy equipment around the cattle feedlots or what those autonomous vehicles in the Smart Farm parking lot are really doing. This is your opportunity to do that.”

The bus tours will run approximately every half hour this Saturday between 9am and 4pm. Everyone is welcome.

Meeberg adds, prospective students, and member of the public who are interested in agricultural research are also encouraged to check out the bus tours this Saturday at Olds College as part of Alberta Open Farm Days.
