Stock up on kids clothing for summer at the Community Lending Shelf

The Community Lending Shelf is always looking for more volunteers and more donations.

Director Lucinda Watkins mentions that 2026 has been a very busy year with lots of donations coming in, and lots of shoppers coming in to get clothes. Watkins says “we have lots of clothes out on the floor for adults and we are taking requests for kids clothing – if they are off to camp or just need some outdoor summer clothes, we have those. You just need to send us a request on Facebook.”

The Community Lending Shelf is located at 4829 50th Street in Olds in the former fire hall building and Watkins says throughout the summer they are open Monday 10 til noon, Wednesday 12 until 2, and Friday 1 til 4.

Watkins points out that they will host a Back 2 School BBQ Bash on August 25th from 4pm until 6 with free hot dogs, school supplies and kids clothing. She says boys pants anywhere from size 3 up to 10-12 is something they always need donated.

Keep tabs on what they have available, donate, make a request or help out as a volunteer by contacting the Community Lending Shelf Facebook page.
