Ecole Olds High School students exploring career opportunities through new internship program

Grade 10 students at Ecole Olds High School are out in the community this week gaining some valuable life experiences.

Vice Principal Jana Kemmere highlights the fact that this is the inaugural year for the 3-day intern placement program for their Grade 10s. She says “the Grade 10s are registering for their Grade 11 courses next week and so our hope is that with their experience this week they will have a little bit more clarity on where they will go in their Grade 11 year and Grade 12 year, in preparing for their future goals.”

Kemmere thanks the over 80 local businesses in Olds and around central Alberta that have welcomed in 140 of their Grade 10 students. The intern placements started on Tuesday and finish up today.
