Bring your resume: Network and connect with industry at Olds College’s Winter Career Fair

A Winter Career Fair will bring students and potential employers together later this month at Olds College.

Crystal Steeves, Student Academic Advisement Officer within the Office of the Registrar, points out that students in their environmental science programs are in demand right now and they have a lot of companies coming from the land and environment industries. Steeves says “also agriculture, obviously, is a very popular one and the animal health too with our programs in the vet technology and the vet medical receptionist – those are popular as well.”

Students can bring along their resume to the Olds College Alumni Centre & Library from 11am until 4pm on February 25th for the Winter Career Fair. It is also open to the public and it is free of charge to attend. She says “Olds College really encourages its students to start thinking about their career from the very first day of classes and connecting with industry is a very important part of that journey, so we really wanted to create an opportunity for them to get exposure really early on in their career. So that is why we bring all of these companies in. We really want the students to connect with industry, to be able to network.”
