A dispute over where appliances should be delivered to has led to charges being laid against a Sundre resident.
Sundre RCMP were alerted to an assault in which a firearm was produced on December 4th.
According to police, the victim was a delivery driver who was allegedly struck multiple times and threatened with a long gun by the suspect after the suspect demanded the appliances be delivered to an alternate address. The victim fled the area in his delivery vehicle.
A search of the suspect’s residence resulted in the seizure of 16 firearms and a large amount of ammunition. A 31 year old Sundre man has been released from custody following a Judicial Interim Release Hearing. He faces a total of 14 criminal code charges – including extortion with a firearm – and has an upcoming court date in Didsbury.
