RCMP are investigating a break-in at the Water Valley Fire Station early on November 24th. The incident happened around 3:50 a.m., and several specialized rescue tools were stolen, including Genesis shears, spreaders, a ram, and a Halligan pry bar.
All items are serialized and have been reported to RCMP and the appropriate registries. Residents are asked to watch for unusual activity or equipment that appears out of place. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Didsbury RCMP non-emergency line at 403-335-3382.
Emergency Services has put temporary measures in place to ensure response capability until the tools are recovered or replaced.
According to Cremona and District Emergency Services Facebook post last week, several community members and businesses have stepped up to donate equipment for the station.
