Working overtime: Grizzlys outlast Dragons three times in a row in O.T. or shootouts

The Olds Grizzlys have swept the first three games of their season series with the Drumheller Dragons.

After a 5-4 overtime win against Drumheller on November 15th, the Black & Gold took two more games from the Dragons this past weekend.

Olds won 4-3 in a shootout on Friday night in Drumheller and then the Grizzlys outlasted the Dragons again – this time by the score of 2-1 in a shootout at the Sportsplex on Saturday.

The Grizzlys (7-13-1-1) are now just 5 points back of the Dragons (8-9-1-4) for the fourth and final playoff spot in the Alberta Junior Hockey League’s South Division.

Olds will head to Calgary to clash with the Canucks (11-9-0-0) on Wednesday, November 26th.
