Unoffical Mountain View County results for 2025 Municipal General Election

Unofficially, six of the seven incumbents will be returning to the Mountain View County council table.

Incumbent Dwayne Fulton in Division 1 – Rural Carstairs finished with 47 more votes than Edward Shaw – 242 to 195.

Incumbent Greg Harris collected 119 more votes than the nearest competitor in Division 2 – Water Valley/Cremona. Harris had 241. Arya Ahmadi was second with 122, and Graham Ducharme was third with 66.

Division 3 – Rural Didsbury saw Angela Look garner 182 votes to get past incumbent Alan Miller. Miller received 136 votes.

Incumbent Angela Aalbers wound up with nearly 150 more votes that challenger Christina McCharles in Division 5 – Rural Sundre/Bearberry. Aalbers picked up 224. McCharles gathered up 77 votes.

A three candidate race in Division 6 – Eagle Hill/Harmattan resulted in incumbent Peggy Johnson topping her nearest challenger by 74 votes. Johnson received 188 votes, Ken Musselman ended up with 114, and Rob Smith finished with 102.

Jennifer Lutz in Division 7 – Rural Olds and Tiffany Nixon in Division 4 Bergen/Elkton had previously been re-elected by acclamation.

According to County officials, voter turnout was 25 per cent with 1,889 votes cast from the estimated 7,503 electors.

The results will become official on Friday, October 24th at noon.
