Fire risk in Mountain View County lowered by recent snow, cooler temperatures

Mountain View County downgraded its Fire Ban to a Fire Restriction as of Monday, October 14th.

Recent weather conditions – including snow over the Thanksgiving weekend – and lower temperatures have lowered the fire risk, according to the County.

Although the Fire Ban has been reduced to Fire Restriction, it still means that all current fire and firework permits are hereby cancelled, and no new fire or firework permits will be issued until further notice is given.

Full details about what activities are permitted under a Fire Restriction can be found online at mountainviewcounty.com.
