Check out October’s Indigenous Services events, activities at Olds College

With the start of a new month upon us, it is a great time to circle a couple of dates for upcoming events that are being presented by Indigenous Services at Olds College.

Joleen Fluet with the Indigenous Services team explains what they have planned for the first Friday of the month. Fluet says “the Indigenous Services team is a place for everyone. You don’t have to be Indigenous to participate. We welcome all students, staff and even the wider community of Olds. So every first Friday of the month, you can warm up with us with some amazing Soup and Bannock for lunch.” Soup and Bannock is on Friday, October 3rd from 11:30am until 12:30pm in the Gathering Room at the Learning Resource Centre building on the Olds College campus.

On October 23rd there will also be a “Learn to Bead Circle” open to the public, ages 10 and up, from 5:30 until 7:30pm. Adults must accompany children ages10 to 14 to foster parent/child interaction.

Contact Indigenous Services at Olds College at 403-507-7944 or stop by the Gathering Room in the LRC building.
