Armed robbers apprehended and charged by Cochrane RCMP

A pair of prolific offenders have been arrested and charged.

Facing charges including robbery with a firearm are two individuals from the  Stoney Nakoda First Nation – a 26-year-old (Malik Holloway) and a 28-year-old (Koda Crane-Dixon).

According to Cochrane RCMP, the release of the two prolific offenders had been monitored in December by the Cochran RCMP Crime Reduction Unit and the Southern Alberta General Investigation Section.

Mounties say within a few days of their release, both offenders committed an armed robbery and stole a motor vehicle.

Eventually they were tracked and apprehended. They face a combined total of 27 charges and are awaiting upcoming court appearances.

The investigation led RCMP to recover a stolen shotgun and four stolen vehicles.

Dave Brunner, Inspector with the Cochrane RCMP, says “we not only patrol the streets, but also patrol the patters. We are here to monitor, arrest, and break the cycle of prolific offenders.”
