Summer-ge yourself in one last party: Swimming, disco skating in Didsbury on August 27

A “Summer Send Off” is coming up on Wednesday in the Town of Didsbury.

Free events and activities are planned for 5 until 8pm on August 27th at the Didsbury Memorial Complex and then there will be an outdoor movie shown afterwards at 8:30. They will be showing the film: How to Train Your Dragon.

Shannon Wilcox, Didsbury Family and Community Support Services Coordinator, explains how the idea for this event came about. She says “well, you know, we wanted to highlight some of the activities now that summer is winding down that are accessible to our residents all year round. Certainly, having the ice back in is a big win for us this year. Of course, the Aquatic Centre is always open. So just reminding families that ‘hey, we are here’ and take advantage of some of the great things that they have accessibility to.”

Swimming, disco skating, pickleball, and more are all planned as part of the Summer Send Off tomorrow in the Town of Didsbury. See all the details online at Didsbury.ca.
