Didsbury Elks 37th Annual Parade And Pancake Breakfast On August 17

The Didsbury Elks are gearing up for their 37th annual parade and pancake breakfast as part of the Didsbury Fair & Rodeo weekend.
Margo Ward explains what will be new as part of the parade for 2024 when it rolls through downtown Didsbury on Saturday, August 17th. Ward says “we’ve got the Tin Lizzies out of Red Deer, Shriner, coming as well which is new for us. We’ve got three pipe bands coming. Hopefully, we’ll have even more join us on the day. Not everybody always pre-registers but pre-registration is appreciated.”
Before the parade on August 17th, Ward points out that the pancake breakfast will be held from 8 until 10am at the Didsbury Elks Lodge. She says “the breakfast is done by donation to help cover the cost of the breakfast but our parade we make no money. We do not charge for people to come into the parade and we do have to pay the band. So, a big shout out to the Town of Didsbury who has helped support us with the parade this year.”
The theme for this year’s Didsbury Elks parade is a ‘Salute to Didsbury’, celebrating our hometown.
To find out more details or to register for the parade check out the Didsbury Elks Facebook page or call Margo at 403-556-5201.
