Unofficial 2024 Strathmore Stampede Results

One of four events that helped kick off the month of August for the Canadian Pro Rodeo Association was the Strathmore Stampede.

Unofficial major event winners at the Strathmore Stampede included Clint Laye from Cadogan in bareback (90.25 points), Landon Beardsworth from Red Deer County in steer wrestling (3.7 seconds), Dawson Hay from Wildwood in saddle bronc (88.25 points), Chase Webster from Utah in tie down roping (7.6 seconds), Taycie Matthews from Arizona in barrel racing (17.13 seconds), and Kendal Pierson in breakaway roping (2.3 seconds).

There was a tie for top spot in team roping in Strathmore with the tandem or Luke Skocdopole from Big Valley and Garrett Brownlee from Saskatchewan, along with the duo of Brady and Riley Minor from Washington getting the job done in 5.7 seconds.

There was also a one-two split of the prize money in bull riding at the Strathmore Stampede. Jordan Spears from Idaho and Grady Young from Saskatchewan both posted 87 point rides.

CPRA cowboys and cowgirls will make their way to Dawson Creek B.C. for this weekend’s lone tour stop. The Dawson Creek Stampede features afternoon Pro Rodeo performances on both Saturday and Sunday.
