Major Crimes Unit Investigating Homicide On O’Chiese First Nation

Last week, Rocky Mountain House RCMP were called to a firearms complaint at a residence on O’Chiese First Nation.

It happened at about 11:20am on Tuesday, July 30th.

Mounties say, upon arrival, emergency personnel located a male with serious injuries. He was pronounced deceased, despite lifesaving efforts.

The man has been identified as a 27-year-old Sunchild First Nation resident.

The Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit has been deployed and has taken carriage of the investigation.

Anyone with dashcam footage on July 30th between 11am and 12:30pm in the area of O’Chiese Main Road on O’Chiese First Nation or with any information about this crime and those responsible is asked to contact the Rocky Mountain House RCMP Detachment at 403-848-2882 or CRIMESTOPPERS.
