Unofficial Medicine Hat Stampede Results

One of four tour stops for the Canadian Pro Rodeo Association last week was the Medicine Hat Stampede.

Unofficial major event winners in Medicine Hat included Strawbs Jones from Duffield in bareback (83.5 points), Layne Delemont from Cardston in steer wrestling (3.9 seconds), the tandem of Brett Buss from Ponoka and Joey Romo the Second from Nanton in team roping (5.0 seconds), Layton Green from Millarville in saddle bronc (88 points), Bo Pickett from Idaho in tie down roping (8.7 seconds), Angela Ganter from Texas in barrel racing (17.28 seconds), Jared Parsonage from Saskatchewan in bull riding (90 points), and Aubrey Ross from Botha in breakaway roping (2.5 seconds).

This week gets off to an early start with upcoming CPRA events in High Prairie with the High Prairie Elks Pro Rodeo on Tuesday, July 30th and Wednesday, July 31st. The Zeke Thurston Invitational Bronc Riding event is also coming up on Wednesday in Stettler.
