Beef And Barley Days Celebrates All Things Agriculture In Carstairs

A summer favorite is back this weekend in Carstairs.

Beef and Barley Days gets underway today, a 3 day celebration held by the Carstairs and District Agriculture Society.

The event gets going tonight with a Rock ‘N Roll Bingo Pub Night upstairs at the Carstairs Curling Rink and fireworks at 10:30.

Saturday will be a jam packed day with events across town, including a pancake breakfast at the curling rink, followed by the parade at 11am and a jam packed afternoon of events all throughout town.

A kids zone will be set up in Memorial Park with inflatable games, a magic show, train rides, glitter tattoos and more.

The All Makes Car Show runs from 10 till 5, while the Carstairs Heritage Centre is open from 10-4 with an art gallery, scavenger hunt and kids center.

Head to the Carstairs Rodeo Grounds for a Crooked Horn Canadian Junior Rodeo Association performance at 1 on Saturday.

Beef and Barley Days main event will take place on Saturday night at the Curling Rink, with a Generation of Country celebration featuring live music and food trucks with no cover charge and a cash bar.

It all wraps up Sunday with coffee and donuts followed by a church service in Memorial Park.
