Innisfail Make 2 Arrests For Drug Offences

Innisfail RCMP have arrested 2 people after a patrol last week led to the discovery of drugs and stolen property.

On July 10th, RCMP officers were patrolling the Town of Penhold when they noted a red van towing a utility trailer parked behind a residence that is frequently known to participate in property crime offences.

The trailer was noted to have been stolen out of Calgary.

Officers noted a large amount of cut cable and copper wire in the back of the trailer, along with tools that are commonly associated as break in tools.

Officers contacted the three occupants of the vehicle, with the passenger providing a false identity.

The driver of the vehicle was arrested and after determining the identify of the passenger, they were also arrested at the scene.

RCMP searched the vehicle and found numerous break in tools along with suspected fentanyl and  suspected methamphetamine.

Both suspects now face multiple charges including 2 counts of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and Possession of Controlled Substance.
