2024 Canadian Football League Season Kicks Off This Week

The the 2024 Canadian Football League regular season kicks of today (June 6th).

A rematch of the 110th Grey Cup championship game will get things started as Montreal travels to Winnipeg at 6:30pm mountain time.

The Alouettes won the Grey Cup by defeating Winnipeg 28-24 last November in Hamilton.

Also as part of Week 1, Hamilton goes to Calgary on Friday.

On Saturday, Saskatchewan heads to Edmonton and Sunday will see the B.C. Lions meet up with the Argonauts in Toronto.

The Ottawa Redblacks have a bye during the opening week of the CFL season.

The Calgary Stampeders finished in fourth place in the West Division last season with a record of 6 and 12. The Stamps were eliminated from the playoffs when they fell 41-30 to the Lions in B.C. in the Division Semi-Finals.

A year ago, the Edmonton Elks wound up last in the West and tied for last overall in the CFL with the Redblacks. Both Edmonton and Ottawa had 4 wins and 14 losses in 2023.
