Public advisory issued by RCMP for high-risk offender believed to be in Red Deer County area

A 33-year-old man was recently released after serving a custodial sentence for a conviction of sexual interference.

Alberta RCMP say he is a child sexual offender with “a history of using the internet to lure young teens to meet. He has also approached girls under the age of 16 in public to offer transportation.”

Mounties note that this information and warning is being issued after careful deliberation and consideration of all related issues, including privacy concerns. Police believe there is a risk of significant harm to the health and safety of the public and it is clearly in the public interest to inform the members of the community about his release which occurred on May 19th, 2026.

The high-risk offender is described as 6’1″, 156 pounds, with brown eyes and Alberta RCMP provided this photo.

According to Alberta RCMP, he is “subject to a weapons prohibition order and is bound by an order prohibiting him from attending a public park or public swimming area where persons under the age of 16 years are present. He is prohibited from attending a daycare centre, schoolground, playground, or community centre. He is not to seek or maintain employment or volunteer in a capacity that involves being in a position of trust or authority towards persons under the age of 16.”

Police add, that “the intent of this process is to enable members of the public to take suitable precautionary measurers and not to embark on any form of vigilante action.” If anyone feels that a crime has been or is about to be committed, they are encouraged to contact their local RCMP detachment, CRIMESTOPPERS at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), or if the matter is of an urgent nature call 9-1-1.
