Jordin St. Louis becomes second rookie Grizzly this season to earn AJHL honours

A 2009 born forward from Airdrie is the AJHL’s Inter Pipeline Rookie of the Week.

Jordin St. Louis is in the midst of a five game point streak overall and last week he notched five total points in three games.

St. Louis is third among all rookies in the Alberta Junior Hockey League with 29 points – including 13 goals – in 36 games this season. He has only been held off the scoresheet in four of his past 14 games.

He is the second member of the Black & Gold to earn Rookie of the Week honours this season joining Didsbury’s Ryder Riedel who was selected for it four times between November 3rd and January 11th. Riedel is right behind St. Louis in rookie scoring with 24 points (tied for 4th).

The Grizzlys (11-26-2-2) remain away from home this week. Their lone game of the weekend will be against the Thunder (11-22-3-2) in Drayton Valley on Friday, January 30th.
