Many options available to enjoy a festive feast in Sundre

The annual community Christmas dinner in the Town of Sundre has been serving up turkey, gravy, and all the fixings for 45 years.

It is open to everybody and is slated for noon until 3pm on Christmas Day at the Sundre Legion. Coordinator Lourelle Vooys says you can make a donation, if you feel like it.

Vooys points out that there are dine-in, as well as takeout and transportation options available. She says “if you know of anybody that would need a ride down to the Legion or a meal delivered , please call me today and we’ll get it all lined up for you.” Contact Lourelle at 403-638-3378.

Meanwhile, the 4th annual free Bowden (BOH-din) community Christmas dinner is Wednesday, December 24th from noon until 2pm at the Paterson Community Centre.

And in the Town of Olds, the annual Henry Sonnenberg memorial Christmas dinner is at the Olds Legion from 11:30am unti 3pm on Thursday, December 25th.
