CPKC Holiday Train rolls through Mountain View County on Tuesday

The 2025 CPKC Holiday Train rolls into Central Alberta on Tuesday as part of its annual tour supporting food banks across Canada.

Since 1999, the Holiday Train has raised more than $26 million and collected over 5.4 million pounds of food for local food banks.

Each stop includes a donation from CPKC, with the public encouraged to bring cash or heart-healthy food items.

This year’s Central Alberta performances feature Jade Eagleson and Teigen Gayse, with three local stops including Innisfail at the 50th Street railway crossing from 12:55 to 1:25, Olds at the 50th Street crossing from 2:30 to 3 and Didsbury at 20th Street and 18th Avenue from 3:45 to 4:15 p.m.

All concerts are free, and residents are encouraged to arrive early to ensure a good view.
