Election day is here

The 2025 Municipal General Election gets underway at 10am on Monday, October 20th.

In the Town of Olds the polling station is the Olds Royal Canadian Legion.

Meanwhile, Mountain View County has races for the council seat in five of its seven Divisions. The voting stations for them, respectively, are at the Carstairs Community Hall for Division 1, the Water Valley Community Hall for Division 2, the Mountain View County Office for Division 3, the Sundre Legion for Division 5, and the Eagle Hill Community Hall for Division 6.

Further details about voter eligibility can be found on the website for your respective municipality. For Olds they are available here.

Polls will close at 8pm tonight and with the new legislation implemented in the last year by the provincial government requiring ballots to counted by hand instead of machine, voters may have to be patient to find out who the winners are in their community.

As local results become available they will be posted online at mymountainviewnow.com.
