Chanses are Vigen is going to be fast in Medicine Hat

After a wet, sloppy and mud filled first night of racing in Medicine Hat, Chanse Vigen from Calgary finished the fastest time on Thursday (June 12th).

The beginning of a four day World Professional Chuckwagon Association chase to win at the Medicine Hat Exhibition & Stampede for a second year in a row for Vigen saw his Volker Stevin Canada outfit get around the track in 1:05.07 seconds.

Kurt Bensmiller from Dewberry finished with the second fasted time of the night with a 1:05.70 in his Grey Eagle Resort & Casino wagon. Jamie Laboucane from St. Walburg, Saskatchewan was third with a 1:06.13 in his Wild Rows Pump & Compression outfit, and Ross Knight – also from St. Walburg, Saskatchewan – rounded out the top four in his Komat Drilling Ltd wagon with a 1:06.20.

96.5 The Ranch is the radio broadcast home for the 2025 WPCA Pro Tour and more live chuckwagon racing can be heard from Medicine Hat this evening at 7.
