90th Bighorn Stampede May 17-21

The Bighorn Stampede weekend is almost here.

It is the first event of 2024 for the Foothills Cowboy Association.

Terry Pengelly, President of Ricinus Wooler Community Association, says the slack is at 3pm on Friday, May 17th and full FCA rodeo performances at 12:30 on both Saturday and Sunday just west of the Village of Caroline.

This will be the 90th edition of the Bighorn Stampede and Pengelly reflected on the history of the event. He says “Just the fact that it has been around this community that long. My uncle and my grandpa were involved in it very early on, supplying a little bit of stock and that. It’s just good to have something in a community that has been here so long.”

Pengelly thanks all of their sponsors and says it is amazing how they have stepped up for them.
Admission to the Bighorn Stampede is $15 dollars for adults and seniors. It is $5 bucks for children ages 6-12 and kids 5 and under get in for free. Free camping is available on site with your paid admission.
The Little Bighorn Junior Rodeo is set to go at 10am on Monday.
The rodeo grounds are located five miles west of Caroline and then a half mile north on Highway 22.
