Town of Innisfail diving into aquatic centre modernization project

Now that final approval from Town council has been granted, construction on a modernization project for the Innisfail Aquatic Centre is set to begin this summer.

The Innisfail Aquatic Centre will close on July 7th and according to the Town the public can subscribe for updates on the project online by going to www.involve.innisfail.ca.

Among other things the upgrades to the facility are aimed at improving efficiency, lowering operating expenses, bringing it in line with current building codes, increasing accessibility, as well as reducing the frequency and severity of issues.

Council gave final approval at the Monday, April 14th meeting and Town staff will be working with the construction team to finalize design documents. According to the Town of Innisfail, the footprint of the existing pool will remain the same.
