2024 Rooftop Campout Exceeds Fundraising Goal

The Olds Fire Department was able to surpass its fundraising goal for this year’s Rooftop Campout.
OFD Firefighter Matt Williams says their goal was $10,000 dollars and they surpassed that by over $2,000. The final total collected for Muscular Dystrophy Canada was $12,124.15.
Williams says they had seven firefighters stay up on the roof of the Fire Hall on Friday, May 10th and Saturday, May 11th. He notes they had a good weekend, good weather, they were firing some t-shirts out of their t-shirt cannon, and they got a good amount of donations from local restaurants for their meals while they were up there as well.
Williams adds, they had their REFIT exercise session on Friday night and overall the Rooftop Campout fundraiser for Muscular Dystrophy Canada was a good weekend with some kids coming into the Fire Hall to look at the fire trucks as well.
He thanks everyone who came by and made a donation, as well as all of their primary sponsors for helping the 2024 Rooftop Campout surpass its fundraising goal.
