Colts look to add points to the stable this weekend

The Mountain View Colts will look to continue their run of good form as the Heritage Junior Hockey League schedule enters it’s final month.

The Colts are currently 2nd in the HJHL’s Northern Division with a record of 14-12-2. With 30 points, they are 1 up on the 3rd place Red Deer Vipers and are 17 back of the 1st place Sylvan Lake Wranglers.

Mountain View kicked off the 2025 portion of their regular season with a 5-0 win on the road against High River, before dropping a 7-4 home game at Centennial Place Arena in Three Hills to the Medicine Hat Cubs.

The Colts have been forced to move a handful of their home dates due to the closure of the Didsbury Memorial Complex, but could find themselves back on home ice for the post season as the Town of Didsbury efforts to restore ice to the main surface.

The Town hopes to have ice restored by February 1st, more details on that news can be found under the News tab at MyMountainViewNow.com.

Mountain View has just 1 game on the docket this weekend, a Friday night matchup in Cochrane to battle the Generals.

Next Saturday, the Colts head up the QE2 to Airdrie to take on the Thunder in a big Northern Division tilt.

The next broadcast of Mountain View Colts hockey on our station will come on January 24th when Mountain View welcomes the Ponoka Stampeders to their temporary home, the Centennial Place Arena in Three Hills.
