Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta previews the fall session

MLAs return to Edmonton on Monday, October 28th as Alberta’s legislature will reconvene.
Nathan Cooper, the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta, believes the fall session is going to be a very full, and robust legislative agenda.
According to Cooper, Premier Danielle Smith had made lots of public comments around some of the legislation that she anticipates introducing including a bill of rights for Albertans. He adds, there will also be a number of pieces of legislation to help Alberta families. Cooper notes there may be some additional legislation around red tape reduction as well.
Cooper says “I always looks forward to the session, to be able to be in the capital to oversee that debate and also to continue to build relationships with my ministerial colleagues and members of the government in order to ensure that the needs of constituents here in Olds-Didsbury-Three Hills are met.”
