Webinar available for those interested in running for public office

Residents considering a run for Mountain View County Council this fall are being encouraged to take part in a free election prep webinar.

Alberta Municipalities and the Rural Municipalities of Alberta are teaming up to offer a one-hour online session on Wednesday, August 13th from 7:30 to 8:30 pm.

The webinar will cover the roles and responsibilities of municipal councillors, and feature guest speakers, including current councillors sharing their experience and advice.

Anyone interested in running for their local office is invited to register online.

The next run of municipal elections are scheduled for this fall in Alberta.
