Town halls hosted by Alberta Next Panel begin on July 15 in Red Deer

Town halls hosted by the Alberta Next panel start this week.

The 16 member panel is chaired by Premier Danielle Smith with the goal of providing feedback to government on how Alberta can better protect its interests, defend its economy, and assert its place in Confederation.

Tara Sawyer, the recently elected MLA for Olds-Didsbury-Three Hills, is on the panel and she is excited to be part of the process. She says “the whole intent is to be able to hear from everybody and make some recommendations on what we can do to build the strong province that we want.”

Premier Smith and the Alberta Next panel begin the series of town halls tomorrow in Red Deer. Doors open at the Marquis Room, Westerner Park at 5pm on Tuesday and it will run from 6 until 9 o’clock. However, it is listed as sold out on eventbrite.ca.

Check out the panel’s website AlbertaNextPanel.ca to take the surveys, see the full list of town halls, and more. According to the government of Alberta, the town halls will also be livestreamed to that website along with the Alberta Next YouTube channel and the Alberta Next X account with the recordings of the livestreams remaining available following the events.
