RCMP recognize youth from Crossfield for her lifesaving efforts

A young girl from Crossfield played the role of hero for her family last month.

A medical emergency at a home in Crossfield took place on March 26th and Airdrie RCMP say that 5-year-old Ellie Mae Lefebvre stayed calm and called 911. Her father was then taken care of when RCMP and EMS quickly responded. Mounties say “she activated the medic alarm they have at home and then 911 called the residence and obtained additional information” from her.

She was presented with a certificate for her bravery and quick thing on April 4th and also received a few RCMP presents.

Airdrie RCMP note that this story is a reminder to parents “to teach children what to do in an emergency. Because Ellie knew what to do, her Dad is still with them today.”
