Mavericks start 2024 Founders Cup tournament with victory over Nova Scotia

The Founders Cup National Junior B Lacrosse championship tournament is underway in Hamilton, Ontario.

The Mountain View Mavericks won their opening game of the tourney by the score of 15-5 over the Nova Scotia Privateers on Monday night (August 19th).

Isaac Tisdale had 3 goals and 2 assists for 5 point night for the Mavs. Hayden Sutherland also had 5 points with a goal and 4 helpers.

Action at the Founders Cup continues today for Mountain View. The Mavericks will square off with the Elora Mohawks from Ontario.

Mountain View is in Pool B along with Nova Scotia, Elora, and the Onondaga Redhawks. A total of 9 teams are competing at the tourney for the national junior B lacrosse championship.

The Founders Cup championship game is slated for Sunday afternoon at 2pm Eastern time.
