Submit nominations to recognize sensational Sundre businesses until October 13

The Sundre & District Chamber of Commerce’s 2026 Small Business Awards will be handed out on Wednesday, October 21st at the Sundre Legion.

Executive Director Sandra Nielsen notes that the judges are going to have a hard time this year because the nominations are really pouring in and you can submit them until midnight on October 13th. Nielsen says “it is really wonderful to read what people are saying about our local businesses and to see the appreciation within our community. So they are going to have fun reading through all of the accolades but I have a feeling we are making their job really difficult in choosing our 2026 award winners.”

The nomination forms can be found here. The categories for 2026 are Best New/Rookie Business, Legacy Business, Farm Operation, Young Entrepreneur, Employee of the Year, Marketing Excellence, Customer Service, and Sundre Spirit.

There is also a Chamber After Hours event featuring prizes, refreshments and a relaxed evening of conversation planned with fellow Chamber members planned for Wednesday, October 14th hosted by Direct Outdoor Gear from 6:30 until 8:30pm. RSVP to the Sundre Chamber for it via email – [email protected].
